Revent

Privacy policy

Effective date: September 22, 2026

Last updated: September 22, 2026

1. Who we are

Revent (company registration in progress) ("Revent," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Revent platform. Revent provides event pages, ticket checkout and delivery, organizer tools, and messaging services, including Amplify.

Revent is also the entity responsible for the Meta app used to provide these services. For an organizer's connected WhatsApp Business Account, Meta Pixel, and related Meta business assets, Revent acts as the organizer's technology provider. Each organizer owns and controls its connected Meta assets and determines its own event communications and campaign measurement.

This Policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and how people can exercise their rights.

2. Our roles and organizer responsibilities

  • Organizer purposes. An organizer controls its event offering, attendee and customer relationship, audience, WhatsApp Business Account, phone numbers, Meta Pixel, campaigns, and message purposes. For customer, message, and Meta Platform data that Revent processes on that organizer's instructions, the organizer is the controller and Revent is its technology provider and processor.
  • Revent purposes. Revent is independently responsible for data used to create and operate a Revent account, authenticate checkout, deliver tickets and receipts, administer consent and preferences, provide support, secure the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with law, and defend legal claims.
  • No cross-organizer use. We keep each organizer's customer, messaging, and Meta business data separate. We do not disclose one organizer's data to another organizer or use it to benefit another organizer.

The same checkout or order record may be processed under both roles for different purposes. For example, the organizer controls its attendee and order record, while Revent controls the limited account, security, consent-administration, and compliance uses described above.

3. Personal data we process

The data we process depends on how you use Revent.

Event pages, checkout, tickets, and accounts

We may process:

  • Name, verified phone number, and email address if you provide one;
  • Event, ticket, order, receipt, payment-confirmation, and transaction-reference information;
  • Technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, prevent fraud, and measure the service;
  • Information about the event or checkout page and how you reached it; and
  • Security, bot-detection, rate-limit, verification-request, and fraud-prevention records.

We use page, checkout, and referral information to operate checkout, measure event performance, and protect Revent against fraud and abuse.

Buying a ticket may require phone verification to confirm the transaction and prevent fraud. Verification codes are used only to complete the requested verification.

Payment-card details are submitted to the payment provider and are not stored by Revent. A ticket QR code contains a ticket identifier and related validation data; it does not directly encode your name, phone number, email address, or payment-card details.

The organizer whose event you interact with receives its own customer and order record, which may include your name, phone number, email address if provided, tickets, and purchase history with that organizer.

Organizer messaging and WhatsApp

When an organizer communicates through the WhatsApp Business Platform, we may process on that organizer's behalf:

  • Phone number and WhatsApp profile name;
  • Message content and media; and
  • Information needed to deliver messages and honor communication choices.

Organizer staff and Meta business assets

For organizer staff, we may process names, work contact details, roles, authentication records, and sessions. To connect and manage organizer-owned Meta assets, we may process WhatsApp Business Account and phone-number identifiers, business-profile information, message templates and their statuses, webhook subscriptions, access tokens, and related configuration data.

Support and rights requests

If you contact us, we process your request, contact details, information needed to verify your identity, our response, and a record showing how the request was resolved.

We receive information directly from you, from the organizer you interact with, through your use of Revent, from Meta through connected business assets, and from providers involved in a transaction or request.

4. How and why we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide event pages, checkout, phone verification, payment confirmation, tickets, receipts, and account access;
  • Give each organizer its own event, customer, order, and campaign reporting;
  • Connect and manage organizer-owned Meta and WhatsApp business assets;
  • Deliver organizer messages and provide delivery, read, and template-performance information;
  • Record and enforce consent, withdrawals, and organizer-specific suppression;
  • Measure an organizer's campaigns as described below;
  • Detect and prevent bots, unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, and verification attacks;
  • Provide support, investigate incidents, maintain records, and improve service reliability; and
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and contractual obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

Where applicable law requires authorization, we request prior, express, and informed consent before the relevant processing. Marketing requires separate organizer-specific consent. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent the limited processing necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, transaction records, or proof that a person's choice was honored.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use WhatsApp-derived data for another organizer's purposes, disclose it to another organizer, or use message content for Revent's own advertising.

5. Meta measurement

Revent may use Meta Business Tools on behalf of organizers to measure event activity and purchases. Meta may receive selected information about those interactions according to its terms and the user's applicable choices.

6. Organizer messages and consent

Revent and organizers may send ticket, transaction, event, and service messages through WhatsApp when a person requests that channel or uses a quick reply to receive their ticket. That choice authorizes the requested ticket and related service messages. Where permitted, organizers may also send relevant offers. A recipient may reply STOP or contact the organizer or Revent to stop marketing messages at any time.

7. Who receives personal data

We may share relevant information with the event organizer, payment and operational providers, Meta or WhatsApp when those services are used, and authorities or transaction participants when legally required or reasonably necessary.

The current list of the service providers and subprocessors that support the Services, with their purposes, is in Section 15 of this Policy.

8. International processing

Information may be processed where Revent and its contracted providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

9. How long we keep personal data

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and honor privacy requests.

Revent's personal-data databases remain in force while Revent operates the Services and afterward only for the periods needed to fulfill the purposes and retention obligations described in this Policy.

10. Your rights and how to exercise them

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and provide access to it;
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Provide a portable copy where that right applies;
  • Withdraw consent or stop organizer marketing;
  • Delete or suppress data; and
  • Review or appeal a decision about a privacy request where applicable.

Email the Privacy Team at hello@getrevent.com. Include the phone number used with Revent and, if provided, your email address. Naming the organizer or event can help us locate the record but is not required. We may verify control of a phone number or email address before acting. We do not charge a fee or require a reason for a deletion request.

You may also make a privacy, correction, withdrawal, or deletion request through the same WhatsApp or other messaging channel through which Revent or the organizer contacted you. A natural-language request is sufficient; it does not have to use an exact keyword. Revent routes organizer-controlled requests to the relevant organizer and records the action taken.

Detailed deletion steps are available at /data-deletion.

A deletion request does not erase the limited transaction, authorization, withdrawal, suppression, verification-request, security, fraud-prevention, legal, or request-fulfillment records described in Section 9 while they remain necessary for those purposes. Those records are restricted from marketing use.

Colombia

Under Ley 1581 de 2012, a data subject may know, update, and correct personal data; request proof of authorization; be informed how data has been used; withdraw authorization or request suppression; and file a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio after first completing Revent's consultation or complaint procedure.

  • Consultations: answered within 10 business days counted from the date of receipt. If more time is needed, we will explain why and answer within 5 additional business days.
  • Complaints, corrections, withdrawals, and deletion requests: resolved within 15 business days counted from the day after receipt. If more time is needed, we will explain why and resolve the request within 8 additional business days.

If a Colombian complaint is incomplete, we will request the missing information within 5 days. If the requester does not provide it within 2 months, the complaint may be treated as abandoned as permitted by law.

The Privacy Team is the area responsible for petitions, consultations, and complaints.

United States

Where an applicable U.S. state privacy law applies to Revent, additional rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, and an opt-out of sale or sharing for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. Revent does not sell personal data. Revent discloses selected first-party measurement data to Meta as described in Section 5 for the organizer's connected Pixel; "first-party" describes the source and does not determine whether a law classifies the disclosure as sharing. Before continuing covered Pixel or Conversions API measurement for a person with an applicable opt-out right, Revent must provide and honor the control required by that law. Privacy requests may be sent to hello@getrevent.com, and an authorized agent may make a request where applicable law permits.

11. Children and restricted events

Revent's Services are not directed to children under 13 acting on their own. Children and adolescents may attend events or receive tickets purchased by an adult; any processing of their data must comply with the special protections and guardian or representative authorization required by law. Organizers are responsible for lawful age, country, guardian, and event restrictions. Revent does not knowingly send a child's or adolescent's personal data, or data from an event identified as directed to minors, through Meta advertising measurement. If you believe a minor's data was processed without the required authorization, contact hello@getrevent.com.

12. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data and risk, including encrypted connections, encryption of organizer access tokens at rest, organization-scoped access controls, logging, and measures designed to prevent unauthorized access, fraud, and abuse. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will update the date above and provide advance notice of a material change when required by law, through this page and, where practical, the contact information available to us.
